As part of his training at the École de Guerre, our colleague Florent, Technical Director of our subsidiary Khiplus, organized an immersion day at the end of April at Khiplus’ offices. He welcomed several officer trainees to give them an inside look at the realities of an SME operating within the Defense Industrial and Technological Base (DITB).
It was a day rich in dialogue, transparency, and valuable insights.

Offering a Different Perspective on the Defense Industrial and Technological Base (DITB)
Accustomed to engaging with the major players in the defense sector, the officers from the École de Guerre had the opportunity to discover, for one day, another complementary side of the DITB: that of a company combining agility, technical expertise, and software innovation—fully aligned with the transformation dynamics already underway among the industry’s largest actors.
Raising Awareness Among Tomorrow’s Decision-Makers
The main objective of this day was clear: to raise awareness among future military decision-makers about the strengths and constraints specific to defense-focused SMEs.The Khiplus team aimed to show that, beyond the major industrial groups, there is a network of innovative small businesses, capable of offering high-value, agile, and relevant solutions to the armed forces.
Feedback from the participants was overwhelmingly positive. The warm welcome, the quality of the presentations, and the depth of the discussions were all widely praised.
A Defining Moment Internally as Well
For Florent, this day was both an opportunity and a challenge—overcoming the “small player” syndrome, with “only” software to showcase compared to the giants of defense hardware. But the experience proved that quality, relevance, and operational impact matter more than scale.
This event also provided the entire Khiplus team with an opportunity to strengthen the company’s brand, highlight its daily commitment, and demonstrate that SMEs have a key role to play in shaping the defense sector of tomorrow.
A big thank you to all the participants for their curiosity, attention, and constructive exchanges. And a special thanks to Florent for his dedication and composure throughout the day.
